The Double Headband Braid

Our Book of Braids has proved to be a huge hit with so many of you dropping in to pick up the fab Kerastase products we’re recommending for perfecting the look!  All of the the chicest Autumn/Winter runways featured the braids in one way or another and this Double Headband Braid was a hit for evening, day and festival. It’s so easy to achieve but to make sure you nail it for a big night out… practice, practice practice.

This month, the Artistic Team has produced this really handy video to show you exactly how to follow the step-by-step instructions.

TOP THREE TIPS

  1. Keep the braids loose at the starting points, to allow you to wrap the braids around the head without any buckling at the scalp.
  2. The kerastase products we recommend – Spray Matérialiste and Laque Couture – are a great way to keep everything in place all day long
  3. Use clear hair bands and pins that match your hair colour if you want your look to appear refined, modern and elegant.

Directions

  • Spray Matérialiste generously into your hands and apply to your hair from roots to tips. Section the hair into two parts.
  • Create a 3 strand braid on the left section going upwards from the nape to the back of the ear and direct around the front of the head. Braid, adding hair from the top of the head to each section. Secure with an hair band. Repeat on the right side.
  • Cross one braid over your head under the hair to secure. like a headband and pin it in place.
  • Repeat on the other side, crossing it hold. over the first braid. To finish spray Laque Couture.
